Tell us which group you’re interested in. We’ll contact you with Pyrford launch updates and booking information once the timetable is confirmed.
A beginner-friendly start
No experience. Plenty to discover.
Confidence through practice
Children get chances to try, learn and try again. Small improvements give them something real to feel proud of.
Movement with purpose
Balance, coordination, controlled falling and partner work form the foundations of learning judo.
Start with other beginners
These are new groups, built from the basics. Your child does not need to arrive knowing the techniques or owning a judo suit.

Before you register
Your Pyrford questions, answered.
When and where are the new Pyrford classes launching?
We are launching at The Arbor Centre, Coldharbour Road, Pyrford, Woking, GU22 8ST, in January 2027. The exact start date and weekly timetable are still being finalised. Join the priority list and we will contact you with updates and booking information once confirmed.
Does my child need previous judo experience?
No. These are brand-new beginner classes. We will start with the basics: moving confidently, learning to fall in a controlled way, working respectfully with a partner and trying their first judo skills.
Which age groups will you run?
SuperKids will be for ages 5–7 and Juniors for ages 8–12. We are also assessing demand for Teens (13+), potentially in a group with older Juniors. Teens provision and the final grouping are not yet confirmed.
What does joining the priority list mean?
It tells us which group interests your family and gives us permission to contact you with Pyrford launch and class-booking information. It is not a class booking or a guarantee of a place. There is no payment or obligation to join.
