AGES 3–4AGES 3–4
Your Child's First Steps on the Mat
Tigers is our introductory programme for children aged 3–4. Through carefully designed games, movement activities, and gentle judo play, we help toddlers develop motor skills, coordination, body awareness, and social confidence in a safe and nurturing environment. Every session is structured to match the developmental stage of young children — no pressure, no competition, just joyful movement and a love of sport.
Programme questions
Tigers uses carefully designed games, movement activities and gentle judo play. The sessions are structured for this stage of development, with an emphasis on coordination, listening, turn-taking and enjoying being active in a group.
No. Tigers is designed as a child’s first step on the mat, so there is no previous judo or sports experience expected. Comfortable clothing and a water bottle are enough for a first class.
Tigers is currently available at our Woking dojo at Baltic House, Knaphill. The free-trial booking journey will help you choose the right available class time.

Sessions are structured, energetic, and purposeful — children learn real throws, breakfalls, and groundwork in a way that is age-appropriate and genuinely fun. Focus, listening skills, and self-discipline develop naturally alongside physical confidence and coordination. SuperKids runs at both our Woking and Merrow dojos, making it accessible across Surrey.

Where Children Truly Develop as Judoka
The Juniors programme is where children aged 8–12 make real strides in their judo development. With a structured belt progression, regular gradings, and the option to compete at local, regional, and national level, Juniors builds resilience, teamwork, and a genuine love of the sport. Our coaches — including former British Internationals — bring a level of technical knowledge and passion that you simply will not find at most clubs. Serving Woking, Guildford, and the wider Surrey area.
Programme questions
No. Juniors is open to children who are new to judo as well as those who already have experience. Coaches place the emphasis on progressive learning, so each child has a clear next step.

Training is challenging, technical, and purposeful. You will develop real judo skills alongside fitness, mental resilience, and a genuine sense of achievement.
