Update on our position with the current COVID-19 situation.
We are all in the same boat trying to make sense of all of the information and opinions we are bombarded with daily, and it is changing so fast. As a small family business we need to ask for your continued support over the coming months as no doubt some difficult decisions will need to be made.
We are doing our best to tread the line between continuing to offer some normality and stability for everyone, an escape from the panic around you, and doing what is safe and the right thing to do. At present we will continue to follow the government guidelines which suggest we should do the right things at the right time, and not in advance of need and Sport England guidelines which say we can continue with things like club sports fixtures, group activities and use leisure facilities. Therefore classes will be continuing until we are advised otherwise or facilities we use are closed.
It’s quite clear we have some rocky times ahead which will be stressful and impact us all in a variety of ways, it is looking likely there will be need for periods of isolation or social distancing (we appreciate some people are already taking these steps), but after lengthy discussions, Vince and I feel at this time if you are fit and healthy life should continue, which means Judo continues. However, please consider your individual situations with regards to yours and your child’s health and the vulnerable population you are in contact with.
It goes without saying you should not be coming to Judo if you (the participant, parent or spectator) have symptoms as you should be staying at home for 7 days.
I hope at FFJudo we can demonstrate admirable behaviours in dealing with this challenge, let's keep our heads, let’s pull together, support each other, respect each other and show our children some of the values from our Judo Moral code we talk about every class!
We are all human, we are in this together and it will get better! Stay positive. 💪❤️🥋
